My Scratch Flying Project!

 Today for school we did a Scratch project! I think it is very cool and I am proud of it. We did a flying project. We chose a character to make fly. I chose the "Cat Flying" character. I added a cape and puff of smoke to it using the "paint" tool! (Sorry about the cursor in the way it shows up in my screenshots for some reason)

We had to move the scenery behind the cat to make it look like it was moving! This is a full screenshot:

How to start off your Minecraft world!

 Admit it. Minecraft is one of the coolest games in the world! Today I will show you a guide on how to make a good world in Minecraft survival.  😸

Gathering materials

The first thing you start with when you spawn, mine the first tree you see. turn the logs into planks and create a crafting table to make yourself some wooden tools. Make a wooden pickaxe and then break the  dirt under you until you reach stone. Mine nine stone to make a stone pickaxe, axe,shovel and sword. Then once you have crafted your tools, kill three sheep. Their wool can be used to make a bed and their meat can be cooked with a furnace ( mine 8 stone to craft). However, if you are a vegetarian, you can find two iron in a cave and smelt them in a furnace, to make ingots. Use these iron ingots to craft shears, so you can shear the sheep's wool. This seems to be more efficient as you can get more wool from shearing the sheep instead of killing it. From shearing, you can get 1-3 wool, but if you kill the sheep, then you will only get one wool. Once you have the wool you will craft a bed, which will allow you to skip the night so monsters don't spawn. Gather ONE TYPE of wood until your axe breaks. For example, you will only gather birch wood.

Making a house

If you didn't get enough wool to craft a bed before nighttime time you might want to find some coal and craft some torches. And fast! Mobs will spawn EVERYWHERE now. The best base you can make now is an underground base. Use your shovel and dig down 3 blocks.Use your crafting table to make a trapdoor and dig down another 3 blocks. Dig around the last three blocks you mined to make more room.Decorate your little base and put a torch in for light. Place the trapdoor to seal the entrance and keep checking if it is daytime. For a normal wooden base, do whatever design you want! I know it will look amazing!

Exploring Caves

Using the stone pickaxe,mine as much iron as you can. Get an iron pick and dig down to y10. If there is a cave, you are lucky! You can find diamonds there at y10. You can also find diamonds at y12, but there are more diamonds at y10. Once you find 6 diamonds, craft a diamond pickaxe and a diamond axe. Axes do more damage than swords.

Simplifying Fractions in Week 10

Today we were learning how to simplify fractions. The first thing we did was try find out which number would go equally into both numbers. The first fraction was 12⁄15. The answer was 4⁄5. The number I chose that went equally into both 12 and 15 was 3.The way got 4/5 was 3x4=is 12. and it was multiplied by 4. So there's the 4. then 3x5 =15, so there's the 5.

Fale House Points Week Nine

 

We made a graph to mark how many points our Fales got in Week nine. I used the information from the image above the graph to write it.        

From this Graph I can see that;

• Rata is first, with 3600 points. (Rata is my house!)
• Totara is second, with 3482 points!
• Kowhai is third, but only just,the Kowhai people are nearly tied with Totara.
• Kauri is fourth, with 3311 points. ( but they are trying so they are getting an extra token (House points) if they say "Morena" to my teacher, or Mrs Laxa.)

STATEMENTS

(My opinions) 

• I think it is possible for Kauri to catch up to Rata but I think it is unlikely.
• Kauri will need 200 points a day to catch up. Normally teams earn 60 points a day.

Spreadsheets- Analysis of Completed Tasks for Monday 28 June

  Ms Corbett was sick , but our reliever didn't come. Our class was split because of that. 😿. Ms. Corbett E-mailed us a taskboard for today.

Here is a graph of the tasks our class finished.

From the graph I can see that the total number of students in our class on 28 June was 20. I know this because I added up the numbers on the side of the graph.From this graph I can see 1 student completed no tasks, 6 students completed 1 task,7 students completed 2 tasks,6 students completed 3 tasks and only 2 students completed all 4.

I think next time I can write with better fonts. The only font I used was Pacifico and that font is kinda hard to read.
